'Preces and Responses began life as a small school project and then
flourished into a larger piece which I enjoyed writing. After my experience
as a chorister in Wells Cathedral choir, subsequently as Head Chorister, I
felt there was a gap for a new set of Responses which combined the
traditional with the new. These Preces and Responses were written as a
challenge for my old friends in Wells Cathedral choir and I hope they enjoy
